Celebrating 25 Years

Leaders in Youth Development Since 1997

Join the 25-for-25 Challenge to celebrate The Georgetown Project’s 25th Anniversary!

As we reflect back on the past 25 years, we all at The Georgetown Project want you know how much we appreciate you. The incredible gifts of your time, talent, and treasure have made a real difference in the lives of the children, youth, and families we have served over the past 25 years.

We invite you to join the fun and celebrate with us in the following ways:

DONATE
The 25-for-25 campaign is a community challenge to help us raise $25,000 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Georgetown Project between now and December 31.  These funds will support our goals of Empowering YouthEngaging Parents and Mobilizing Community as we seek to improve the odds that ALL young people in Georgetown grow into caring, capable, and resilient young adults.

Donate in any increment of 25, either as a one-time gift or recurring monthly donation.

SHARE A MEMORY

Send in a short video sharing a special memory about your involvement with The Georgetown Project—or a 25th Anniversary wish—to Leslie Janca, leslie@georgetownproject.org. With your permission, we will publish them on our social media.

In the meantime, enjoy this fun look back at the past 25 years of The Georgetown Project.

BUILD DEVELOPMENTAL ASSET #25: Reading for Pleasure

When children enjoy reading for fun, they are more likely to build early literacy skills that help them read on target by Grade 3. Support Asset #25 by snapping a photo of yourself reading with the kids in your life. Then either email to us or share on social media with the hashtag #TGP25for25.

The Georgetown Project brought the Developmental Assets framework of positive youth development to town 25 years ago. While the newer Developmental Relationships framework is taking top billing these days, let’s refocus on Asset #25 to spotlight the importance of early bonding and literacy development.
